The relationship between the attachement and the style of dealing with interpersonal conflicts

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vztahem mezi typem citové vazby a stylem řešení vztahového konfliktu. V teoretické části jsou definovány konstrukty attachment a strategie řešení konfliktu. Dále jsou popsány typy citového připoutání a jeho vývoj od raného dětství až po dospělost. Poté je představen konflikt a různé přístupy ke strategiím řešení vztahových konfliktů. V praktické části je navržen kvantitativní výzkum, který se zabývá vlivem typu attachmentu na způsob, jakým řeší konflikty populace dospělých v České republice. Výzkum je zaměřen na dospělé osoby, které se v současnosti nacházejí ve vztahu či manželství. Tato práce se dále snaží prozkoumat vliv manželství a rodičovství na preferenci určité strategie řešení konfliktu ve vztahu. Výzkumný sou-bor tvořilo 110 respondentů. Baterie dotazníků byla tvořena ECR-R (Prožívání blízkých vztahů - revidováno) a RPCS (Škála konfliktů v partnerském vztahu). Výsledky naznačují vztah mezi citovou vazbou s určitými stylem řešení konfliktů. Jako statisticky významný se ukázal vztah mezi dimenzí úzkostnosti a dominantním a vyhýbavým stylem řešení konfliktů. V rámci explorační analýzy byly zjištěny statisticky významné rozdíly, kdy skupina respondentů v manželství a s dětmi vykazovala nižší preferenci reaktivního stylu v souvislosti s úzkostnou citovou vazbou.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the relationship between attachment and conflict resolution styles. In the theoretical part there are defined the construct of attachment and the conflict resolution styles. Furthermore, types of attachment are described in long-term development. In addition to that the conflict and style of dealing with interpersonal conflicts are described. In practical part of this work a quantitative research is proposed and research goal is finding connection between type of attachment and conflict resolution style in romantic relationships in population of adult Czech people. Also the influence of parenthood and marriage is examined in context of preference specific conflict resolution style. Our sample is consisted of 110 participants. The questionnare included 2 scales: Experiences in Close Relationships – Revised, Relationship Partner Conflict Scale. The results suggest that attachment correlate with certain conflict resolution styles. Specifically, dimension of anxiety was significantly related to the preference of dominating and avoidant conflict resolution style. As part of the exploratory analysis, statistically significant differences were found, the group of respondents in marriage and with children showed a lower preference for a reactive style in connection with an anxious attachment.
