Healt and Social Insurance in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské práce „ Zdravotní a sociální pojištění v ČR“ je vysvětlit pojmy zdravotní pojištění a sociální pojištění. V první části práce je definována historie a vývoj pojištění v Evropě a v ČR. V další části je podrobně rozebráno členění zdravotního a sociální pojištění. V praktické části jsem využila informací z Výroční zprávy ČSSZ pro rok 2008. Zde porovnám výdaje na výplatu dávek do roku 2008. V závěru dle těchto informací posoudím, zda systém sociálního pojištění v ČR je nastaven optimálně, jestli jsou výdaje na dávky v této oblasti stoupající nebo klesající.

Abstract:

The subject of the bachelor’s thesis „Health Insurance and Social Security in the Czech Republic” is to explain the terms “health insurance” and “social security”. The first part of the work defines history and development of the insurance in Europe and in the Czech Republic. The second part describes in detail classification of the health insurance and social security. In the practical part of the work, I used information from the Annual Report of the Czech Social Security Authority for 2008. I compare expenses for payment of social security benefits until 2008. In the final part, I use this information to assess if the social security system in the Czech Republic has been established in an optimum way and if the expenses for benefits in this area have an increasing or decreasing tendency.
