International Relocation: An International Logistics Perspective

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou relokace vysoce kvalifikované pracovní síly do České republiky, přičemž zkoumá přesuny jejich osobních věcí. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, a to na teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části se zkoumají motivační faktory přesunu pracovníků do České republiky. Dále je zkoumána mezinárodní logistika, která souvisí s přesunem těchto osobních věcí, a v neposlední řadě rizika, se kterými se může společnost při tomto druhu podnikání setkat. Praktická část práce se soustředí na stěhování vysoce kvalifikované pracovní síly ze 75 světových zemí, která jsou provedena jednou konkrétní logistickou společností v letech 2018–2022. Dále zpracovává data zprostředkovaná touto logistickou společností a hledá „ideální“ stěhování, které poté porovnává s průměrnými stěhováními ze zkoumaných zemí. Závěrem je hodnocení těchto zemí v porovnání s „ideálním“ stěhováním a s dalšími zvolenými kritérii.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of relocation of highly skilled workforce to the Czech Republic, examining the movement of their personal belongings. The thesis is divided into two parts, namely theoretical and practical. The theoretical part examines the motivational factors for the relocation of workers to the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the international logistics involved in the transfer of those personal belongings and last but, not least the risks that a company may encounter in this type of business. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the relocation of highly skilled labour from 75 countries around the world by one particular logistics company between 2018 and 2022. It then processes the data provided by this logistics company and looks for the "ideal" relocation, which is then compared with the average relocation from the countries studied. Finally, it ranks these countries against the "ideal" relocation and other selected criteria.
