SWOT Analysis of Electronic Banking

Abstract:

Předmětem mé diplomové práce je SWOT analýza elektronického bankovnictví ČSOB. Elektronické bankovnictví je velmi často využívaný prvek pro komunikaci s bankou a pro mnohé z nás již neodmyslitelnou součástí služeb poskytovaných bankou. Aby byl klient u banky spokojen, musí mít kvalitní službu. Pro klienty, kteří se nemohou rozhodnout, komu svěří své finanční prostředky, může být dobrá dostupnost jejich prostředků základním prvkem v rozhodování. Kromě dostupnosti služby je pro klienta velmi důležité, jak dobře se služba obsluhuje, jaký má vzhled nebo obchodní nabídku. Právě mnou provedená SWOT analýza si všímá těchto aspektů ve vnější i vnitřní analýze, která je zaměřená na službu určenou pro retailový segment – ČSOB InternetBanking 24. Po vydefinování příležitostí, hrozeb, silných a slabých stránek, navazuje zvolení strategie pro tuto službu ve zvolené matici McKinsey. Následující bod práce je zaměřen na tvorbu plánu dalšího vývoje služby. Na konci diplomové práce jsou výsledky, ke kterým jsem dospěl po provedení celé analýzy, včetně strategie a plánu. Poté následuje doporučení pro banku, aby se služba ČSOB InternetBanking 24 více zatraktivnila pro klienty a zároveň zůstala konkurence schopnou na českém trhu.

Abstract:

The subject of my dissertation is a SWOT analysis of ČSOB electronic banking. Electronic banking is a very often used element in communication with the bank and for many of us is an essential part of the services provided by the bank. To be satisfied the client must receive quality service. For clients who can not decide where they should consign their finances, the good availability of resources may be the essential element in the decision. Besides availability of the service for the client, it is very important how well the service will serve, the appearance or business menu. My fulfilled SWOT analysis focuses on these aspects in both external and internal analysis, which is aimed at services designed for the retail segment – CSOB InternetBanking 24. After defining the opportunities, threats, strengths and weaknesses, a follow-up choice strategy for this service in the selected matrix McKinsey. The following item of thesis is focused on creating the plan for the further development of services. At the end of the thesis are the results, which I acquired after the entire analysis, including strategy and plan. This is followed by recommendations for the bank to make the ČSOB Internetbanking 24 service more attractive to clients, while remaining competitive on the Czech market.
