Reasons for placing a child under three in day care centres

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na důvody umisťování dětí mladších tří let do institucionálního zařízení k denní péči. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí - teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na proměny současné rodiny, blíže se jsou popsány specifické potřeby dětí do tří let. V práci je rozebráno téma mateřské dovolené a jsou diferenciována institucionální zařízení pro děti do tří let, jež Česká republika rodinám nabízí. Také jsou popsány příčiny, vedoucí matky k včasnému umístění dítěte do jeslí či mateřské školy. V praktické části jsou za pomocí Q-metodologie zjišťovány důvody, vedoucí matku dítěte mladšího tří let umístit jej k denní péči do institucionálního zařízení. Z výsledků je patrné, že nejčastějšími důvody jsou vnitřní potřeby matky, nejméně významné vzešlo finanční zabezpečení rodiny.

Abstract:

Dissertation focuses on reasons for placing children of age three years and younger into the institutional facility for day care. Dissertation is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical one. Theoretical part focuses on changes of the contemporary family, the needs of children up to three years are described in detail. There is a topic of maternity leave analyzed and institutional facilities for children up to three years offered to families in the Czech Republic are distinguished. There are also the reasons leading mothers to prematurely place their child into the kindergarten or nursery stated. In practical part, using Q-methodology, there are reasons leading mother of the three year old or younger child to place him/her for the day care into the institutional facility, determined. It is evident from the results, the most frequent reasons are the inner needs of mother, the least significant emerged the financial security of the family.
