Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práce se zabývá problémem identity zámeckého objektu. Zámky jsou v dnešní době obecně těžko uchopitelné. Z někdejších piedestalů byly sesazeny do pozic indiferentních turistických cílů a zcela pozbyly své výsostné postavení, jež jim v historii coby dominantním aristokratickým sídlům náleželo. Studie nabízí tři různé interpretace zámeckého objektu. Poprvé bude zámek nahlížen coby estetický a autentický doklad historie. Podruhé jej představíme v roli autonomního uměleckého díla. Potřetí zámek definujeme jako znak. Naše poznatky budeme ilustrovat na zámku Častolovice. Snahou diplomové práce bude odhalit estetické principy, které zámeckému objektu takové proměny identity umožňují.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis The Memorial, the Artefact, the Sign: The Aesthetic Principles in the Castle Častolovice's Alterations deals with a character of a castle. Nowadays the castles are generally hard to comprehend. From the erstwhile pedestals, they were deposed to positions of indifferent tourist targets and completely forfeited their sovereign status of prominent aristocratic residences. The treatise offers three possible interpretations of a castle. First the castle will be presented as an aesthetic and authentic proof of a history. Secondly, we introduce castle as an autonomous work of art. Thirdly, the castle will be construed as a sign. Our findings will be explained by way of the example of Častolovice castle. The aim of the diploma thesis is to reveal the aesthetic principles enabling these alterations of identity to an object of a castle.
