Příčiny a důsledky emigrace mladých lidí ve vybraných zemích západního Balkánu

Abstract:

Práce se zaměřuje na identifikaci faktorů, které ovlivňují emigraci ze zemí západního Balkánu, zejména mladých a vzdělaných lidí. Na základě přehledu literatury bylo vybráno několik ukazatelů ekonomického, politického a vzdělávacího systému jako potenciální příčiny vysoké míry emigrace z regionu. Bylo provedeno srovnání zemí západního Balkánu s členskými státy EU v hlavních vybraných ukazatelích a pomocí shlukové analýzy bylo demonstrováno, že země západního Balkánu dosahují v průměru nejnižší míry čisté migrace, ale také nejhorších výsledků téměř ve všech vybraných ukazatelích. Regresní analýza ukázala, že existuje statisticky významný vztah mezi ukazateli emigrace a ukazateli ekonomického, politického a vzdělávacího systému v tom smyslu, že horší výsledky v těchto oblastech jsou doprovázeny vyšší mírou emigrace. Ukázalo se také, že lidé ze zemí západního Balkánu se častěji stěhují do vyspělejších zemí, ale také do zemí v rámci samotného regionu Balkánského poloostrova. Zdá se, že v tomto případě hraje důležitou roli také společný jazyk, kultura nebo geografická blízkost.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on identifying the factors that influence emigration from the Western Balkan countries, especially young and educated people. Based on a literature review, several indicators of the economic, political and educational systems were selected as potential causes of the high emigration rate from the region. A comparison of the Western Balkan countries with the EU Member States in the main selected indicators was made, and using cluster analysis it was shown that the Western Balkan countries on average achieve the lowest net migration rates, but also the worst results in almost all selected indicators. Regression analysis showed that there is a statistically significant relationship between emigration indicators and indicators of economic, political and educational systems, in the sense that worse performance in these areas is accompanied by higher emigration rates. It was also shown that people from Western Balkan countries are more likely to move to more developed countries, but also to countries within the Balkan Peninsula region itself. Common language, culture or geographical proximity also seem to play an important role in this case.
