The aim of the thesis is to determine the reasons for subsidizing of movie industry, to analyze the instruments by means of what the subsidy is usually implemented and to evaluate their efficiency. Cieľom tejto diplomovej práce je zachytiť dôvody, ktorými je ospravedlňovaná podpora filmového priemyslu, analyzovať nástroje, ktoré sú k tejto podpore obvykle používané a vyhodnotiť ich účinnosť. V práci sú popísané, analyzované a porovnané systémy podpory kinematografie vo Francúzsku a v Českej republike.
