Metamorphosis of a human being into an animal and its ethical dimensions in Russian literature of 20th century

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focused on famous works of even more famous writers, in their pieces there appeared an animal as one of the main characters. There is a short autobiography of the writers that belong to the top representatives of the literature to honour them. The target of the diploma thesis was to show an animal that is always playing certain role and lets a reader use his imagination. If we have a look to the history we will find many animals that were or are adored, they have their value and sacredness. There are shown various versions of position and symbolics in the thesis according to which we can interpret the piece. We also focused on a hunt and the border where the hunt as an instinct of the human being finishes and where starts entertainment of a man and a devastation of the nature. The thesis is based on complicated Russian era in period of bourgeoisie and the rule of power government, ordinary people were agitated by this situation.

Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo pozastavit se, nad převážně ruskou literaturu, kde se objevují zvířata a s nimi i určité skryté symboly. Pohlédnout na literaturu tak, abychom se přiblížili k přesným postojům autora, a ne jen být prostými čtenáři. Připomenout, že autoři nepsali jen o světě zvířat, který hraje v našich životech stále velkou roli, ale hlavně vyzkoumat proč si vybrali právě zvířecí svět. Svět zvířat není jen podobným našemu, díky němuž můžeme ledasco pochopit. Ve zvířeti je ukryté vždy nějaké tajemství, které nemohlo byt řečeno nahlas a veřejně. Použití těchto symbolů a správné pochopení nám otevírá nové obzory. Díky naší fantazii, historickým znalostem a přibližné pochopení myšlení autora se nám může podařit odkrýt nový svět, který byl, či může být ? ve kterém zvířata hrají velkou roli a jsou stavěny na stejnou úroveň jako my. Symboly, které chápou pouze čtenáři, kteří znají jejich podstatu, jsou velmi důležité a bez jejich znalosti nelze intelektuálně hovořit o tak slavných dílech, které jsou zmíněné v práci.
