Sculptural decoration of the Holy Stairs in Bohemia and Moravia in the context of Baroque spirituality
Abstract:
Předkládaná diplomová práce si klade za cíl zmapovat a přiblížit fenomén Svatých schodů v Čechách a na Moravě v období baroka s primárním zaměřením na sochařskou výzdobu. Snaží se také neopomíjet celkovou koncepci prostorů a představit je jako celek, který je zasazen do kontextu dobové zbožnosti.
Abstract:
The diploma thesis aims to map and describe the phenomenon of the Holy Stairs in Bohemia and Moravia in the Baroque period with the primary focus on sculptural decoration. It also attempts not to omit the overall concept of spaces and to present them as a whole, which is set in the context of period piety.
