Competencies of the General Nurse in the Context of New Challenges in Wound Healing

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá kompetencemi všeobecných sester v kontextu s novými výzvami v oblasti hojení ran. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části jsou popsány jednotlivé kompetence všeobecných sester, proces hojení ran a moderní přístupy v terapii rány. Empirická část zahrnuje kvalitativní výzkumné šetření ve formě polostrukturovaného rozhovoru se sestrami specialistkami, které se aktivně věnují problematice hojení ran. Z výsledků výzkumu vyplývá, že rozšíření kompetencí všeobecných sester vede ke zlepšení kvality poskytované péče. Výzkum dále prokázal, že sestry využívají moderní metody, jsou nejen znalé v této oblasti, ale také schopné efektivně využívat nové materiály a technologie, což pozitivně ovlivňuje hojení ran. Práce zdůrazňuje význam studia všeobecných sester, jako základ pro vykonávání odborné činnosti. Svým obsahem by tato bakalářská práce mohla motivovat sestry k absolvování specializačního vzdělání v této oblasti.

Abstract:

This bachelor' s thesis addresses the competencies of general nurses in the context of new challenges in wound healing. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes the individual competences of general nurses, the wound healing process and modern approaches in wound therapy. The empirical part includes a qualitative research investigation in the form of a semi-structured interview with specialist nurses who are actively involved in the problem of wound healing. The results of the research show that expanding the competencies of general nurses leads to an improvement in the quality of care provided. The research also showed that nurses use modern methods, are not only knowledgeable in this field, but also able to use new materials and technologies effectively, which positively affects wound healing. The thesis emphasizes the importance of studying general nurses as a basis for practicing professional activities. The content of this bachelor thesis could motivate nurses to undertake specialised education in this field.
