Anotácia:

Práce se zaměřuje na cheerleading jako dynamicky se vyvíjející fenomén americké kultury, jehož význam přesahuje rámec sportovní aktivity. Pozornost je věnována historickému vývoji cheerleadingu a proměnám jeho role v kontextu společenských a kulturních změn. Analyzována je jeho sportovní dimenze, charakterizovaná nároky na fyzickou zdatnost a týmovou spolupráci, stejně jako jeho postavení v oblasti showbusinessu. Součástí práce je rovněž reflexe genderových aspektů spojených s tímto fenoménem. Na základě provedené analýzy je cheerleading interpretován jako významný kulturní jev, jehož podoba je formována historickými, sociálními i mediálními vlivy.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on cheerleading as a dynamically evolving phenomenon of American culture, whose significance extends beyond the framework of a sport activity. Attention is paid to the historical development of cheerleading and the transformation of its role within the context of social and cultural changes. Its sporting dimension is analyzed, particularly in terms of physical demands and team cooperation, as well as its position within the sphere of show business. The thesis also reflects on gender aspects associated with this phenomenon. Based on the conducted analysis, cheerleading is interpreted as a significant cultural phenomenon shaped by historical, social, and media influences.
