Cieľom našej práce je analyzovať cenné papiere na kapitálovom trhu. Vymedzenie pojmov a javov priamo súvisiacich s témou štátnych cenných papierov je rozvitý v prvej kapitole predkladanej diplomovej práce., kde sme splnili prvý cieľ a to vecne vymedzili finančný trh, kapitálový trh, jeho legislatívny rámec a zamerali sme sa na dlhopisy a ich formy spolu s emisiou obligácií.
