Non-compliance with the competencies of nurses in nursing practice

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na porušování kompetencí sester v klinické praxi v závislosti na stanovených proměnných (dosaženém vzdělání, věku a motivaci k dalšímu vzdělávání). Současná problematika porušování kompetencí sester je rozebrána v teoretické části práce. Objasňuje základní pojmy a profil sesterské profese, zejména jejich předpoklady pro výkon povolání, možnosti vzdělávání, zákony vymezující kompetence sester, popisuje odpovědnost za poskytnutou péči, zaměřuje se také na kvalitu a řízení péče a v poslední řadě také na etiku jednání sester. Ve výzkumné části byly definovány aspekty, které ovlivňují potřebu porušovat kompetence u sester v běžné klinické praxi. Data byla získána pomocí dotazníku vlastní konstrukce, rozšířeného na sociálních sítích ve skupinách zdravotníků. Východiskem této práce bylo zjistit, zda existuje snaha sester navýšit své pracovní kompetence. Na základě těchto východisek a výsledků výzkumu, bylo vytvořeno doporučení pro klinickou praxi.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the nurse’s competency violations claimed in the field of the clinical practice with dependent variable factors (the education achieved, the age and the further education motivation). The theoretical part of the diploma thesis consists of the current issue of the nurse’s competency violations. It clarifies the basic concepts and profile of the nurse profession, especially such as the duty of the prerequisites for the nurse profession, the educational opportunities, the laws defining the nurse competencies, the responsibility for the provider care, and focused on quality and management of the care and the latter on the nurse ethics. The aspects that affects the needs of nurse’s competency violations in the routine clinical practice have been defined in the practical part of the diploma thesis. The data were obtained by using an author-designed questionnaire that had been distributed on the selected medical groups at social networks. The inquiry of the research was to determine whether there is any effort of nurses to increase their work competencies. On the basis of the topic inquiry and these research results, the recommendations for the clinical practice were developed.
