Company website redesign focused on UX

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá redesignem webové stránky z oblasti stavebnictví. Cílem práce je grafický a informační redesign webu se zaměřením na UX. Dílčím cílem je shrnout obecné požadavky webu s ohledem na použitelnost, které by webová stránka měla splňovat. Dalším dílčím cílem je převedení současné podoby do podoby responzivního webu, který zaručí optimalizaci stránek pro všechna zařízení. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na základní pojmy z oblasti UX, design zaměřený na člověka a shrnutí obecných požadavků, které by webová stránka v dnešní době měla splňovat. Dále vymezuje UX design proces včetně jeho fází od pochopení situace, výzkumu, analýzy, designu, testování až po implementaci webové stránky.V praktické části je provedena analýza současného stavu webu, která poukazuje na jeho negativa a je podkladem pro nové řešení. Následně je implementován nový web s aplikovanými poznatky z teoretické části práce, které mají za cíl odstranit nedostatky stávajícího webu a zajistit jeho uživatelskou přívětivost.Nové rozmístění prvků a grafika stránky jsou zvoleny s ohledem na použitelnost webu. Na základě testování je poté vybrána a realizována finální podoba webové stránky. Snahou je vytvořit takový web, aby plnil požadavky uživatele, cíle provozovatele a usnadnil tak vzájemnou komunikaci. V závěru práce je zhodnocení majitelem firmy, zda došlo k naplnění stanovených cílů.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the redesign of a website from a building industry. The aim of this thesis is graphic and information website redesign with an emphasis on UX. The partial goal is to summarize the general requirements of the website with respect to the usability that the site should have. Another partial goal is to transform current website into responsive one that will guarantee optimization for all devices. The theoretical part focuses on UX terms, a human-centered design and general requirements that the website should include these days. It also describes UX design process, including its phases from understanding the situation, research, analysis, design, testing to website implementation.The practical part analyses current state of the website that shows its negatives and it is the base for a new solution. Then is implemented new website that applies knowledge from the theoretical part of this thesis. The aim is to eliminate the shortcoming of the existing website and to ensure its user-friendliness.New layout and graphic design are chosen with respect to the usability of the website. Based on user testing is selected the final version of the website that will be implemented. The purpose is to create a website to meet user´s needs, goals of owner and facilitate mutual communication. At the end of the thesis, the owner of the company evaluates whether the objectives have been met.
