Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na výkon nepodmíněného krátkodobého trestu odnětí svobody v České republice. Důsledně jsou analyzovány zejména historické aspekty ukládání této formy trestněprávní sankce, a to včetně proměnlivého nazírání na její účel a funkce. This diploma thesis deals with short-term imprisonment in the Czech Republic. We shall thoroughly examine historical background of this form of criminal punishment, including varying views on its purpose and function.
