Množství druhů orchidejí ( čeleď Orchiaceae) je zařazeno mezi celosvětově ohrožené druhy rostlin. Negativní vliv na orchideje může mít zejména zvýšený přísun živin, zvláště dusíku a fosforu. Protože tyto rostliny vytvářejí orchideoidní mykorhizu, která umožňuje zvýšení přísunu minerálních živin do kořenů, rostou často i na živinami chudších lokalitách. Abstract:
High number of orchid species (Orchidaceae family) is numbered among worldwide endangered plant species. Especially high availability of mineral nutrients, particularly of nitrogen and phosphorus, can have a negative effect on orchids.
