Collection of Maps for Teaching the Transport Geography of Czechia in Lower Secondary Education

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce řeší aktuální situaci ohledně výuky geografie dopravy na 2. stupni ZŠ. Cílem této diplomové práce je zhodnotit a provést analýzu kurikulárních dokumentů, učebnic zeměpisu, pracovních sešitů a atlasů, po provedení analýzy provést návrh možných materiálů a témat, která je možné vyučovat na 2. stupni ZŠ. Metoda sběru dat je kompilativní, diplomová práce obsahuje i metodickou příručku toho, jak danou mapu v programu vytvořit, jak získat data pro její tvorbu a také, jak upravovat vizuální stránku mapy, případně jak upravit data pro účely dané mapy. Výsledkem diplomové práce jsou praktické ukázky toho, jak mohou výsledné mapy vypadat, jaké aktivity s nimi může učitel provádět a jaké jsou možnosti jejich variability, včetně návodu, jak toho dosáhnout.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the current situation regarding the teaching of transport geography at the 2nd grade of elementary school. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate and analyze curriculum documents, geography textbooks, workbooks, and atlases, and after the analysis to suggest possible materials and topics that can be taught at the 2nd level of elementary school. The method of data collection is compilative, the diploma thesis also contains a methodical guide on how to create a selected map in the computer program, how to obtain data for its creation and also how to edit the design of the map, or how to edit the data for the purposes of the specific map. The result of the diploma thesis are practical examples of what the resulting maps can look like, what activities the teacher can perform with them and what are the possibilities of their variability, including instructions on how to achieve this.
