Application of UML in Development of Information Systems

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je navrhnout postup implementace elektronického podpisu do informačního systému (IS) retailové banky. Cíl byl vybrán v souvislosti s přechodem od procesů, které zahrnují oběh papírových dokumentů k plně elektronickým procesům. Práce popisuje postup návrhu a implementace elektronického podpisu a jeho využití při vytváření smluvních vztahů s bankovními klienty. Součástí analýzy a návrhu je využití případů užití Unified Modeling Language (UML) včetně popisu změny procesu a interakcí mezi komponentami IS a uživateli. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na popis základních pojmů a principů fungování elektronického podpisu v rámci asymetrické kryptografie. Praktická část práce se věnuje popisu vytvoření as-is procesních modelů podepisování smluvních dokumentů a návrhu vhodného to-be modelu, který bude implementován v elektronickém prostředí retailové banky. Výsledkem práce jsou postupy a doporučení pro úspěšnou implementaci elektronického podpisu v bankovním sektoru, které mohou být cenným zdrojem pro odborníky v této oblasti.

Abstract:

The goal of the bachelor thesis is to propose a procedure for implementing an electronic signature into the information system (IS) of a retail bank. The goal was selected in connection with the transition from processes involving the circulation of paper documents to fully electronic processes. The work describes the process of designing and implementing an electronic signature and its use in establishing contractual relationships with bank clients. The analysis and design include the use of Unified Modeling Language (UML) use cases, along with a description of process changes and interactions between IS components and users. The theoretical part of the work focuses on the description of basic concepts and principles of electronic signature operation within the framework of asymmetric cryptography. The practical part of the work is devoted to the description of the creation of as-is process models for signing contractual documents and the design of a suitable to-be model to be implemented in the electronic environment of a retail bank. The result of the work is a set of procedures and recommendations for the successful implementation of electronic signatures in the banking sector, which can be a valuable resource for experts in this field.
