The thesis deals with studies of hearing impaired at colleges, specifically at Masaryk university. It is divided in two parts, the first part is theoretical and the second is empirical. Theoretical part is focused on classification of hearing impaired, hearing impaired as cultural minority and mainly on integration of hearing impaired in educational system with emphasis on colleges.
