Reconstruction of a woman's costume (textile, jewellery, footwear, accessories) showing the life in Central Europe during the Latene periodshowing the life in Central Europe during the late Iron Age-Latene period.

Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo vytvořit rekonstrukci jednoho ženského kostýmu, vycházejícího z archeologických nálezů Keltské kultury ve střední Evropě. Práce obsahuje shrnutí významu Keltů pro naši kulturu, seznámení se s činností sdružení Vousův kmen, soupis vhodných prvků pro kostým. V další části je zmapováno několik postupů výroby prvků kostýmu a zpracování používaných materiálů. Dále práce zahrnuje vlastnoruční vytvoření několika částí kostýmu. V závěru je pak představen kompletní kostým.

Abstract:

The aim of my work was to create a reconstructive model of a women?s costume, based on archeological findings of Celtic culture in Central Europe. My work includes a summary of the importance of Celts for our culture, an introduction to the activities of the Vousův kmen society and a list of suitable items for the costume. In the following section, several procedures of production of the costume and fabrication of used materials are charted. Furthermore, the work includes self-made crafting of several parts of the costume. The completed costume is introduced at the end.
