Multicultural diversity in the educational environment of secondary schools and the view through the eyes of students and their experience

Abstract:

Práce je obrazem multikulturní rozmanitosti jako možnosti poznání a obohacení nejen v edukačním prostředí. Řeší zejména podstatu, principy a možnosti multikulturalismu a multikulturní výchovy v teorii a v praxi. V teoretické části se práce zabývá charakteristickými rysy a kulturními specifiky vybraných menšin a národů z různých částí světa. Metodika teoretické části je realizována prostřednictvím studia odborných literárních zdrojů, zaznamenáváním důležitých informací a vyhodnocováním formou analýzy, syntézy a komparace. Empirická část si klade za cíl zmapovat postoje české mládeže středního školství v regionu jižní Morava vůči jiným kulturám, jejich pohled na cizince v české společnosti a vnímání multikulturní výchovy nejen ve výuce. Analyzovaná data, získaná převážně kvantitativní metodou formou dotazníku, budou vyhodnocena jednoduchými statistickými metodami a interpretována v závěru praktické části. Výstupní poznatky budou zpracovány jako doporučení pro pedagogickou praxi.

Abstract:

The work is a reflection of the multicultural diversity as knowledge and enrichment opportunities not only in the educational environment . It addresses in particular the nature , principles and possibilities of multiculturalism and multicultural education in theory and in practice. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics and cultural specifics of selected minorities and peoples from different parts of the Word. The methodology of the theoretical part is realized through the study of professional literature sources , recording and evaluation of relevant information by means of analysis , synthesis and comparison.The empirical section aims to map the position of Czech youth of secondary education in the region of South Moravia towards other cultures, their view of foreigners in the Czech society and perceptions of multicultural education not only in the classroom. The analyzed data obtained mainly quantitative method using a questionnaire will be evaluated by simple statistical methods and interpreted at the end of the practical part. Output results will be treated as recommendations for educational practice .
