Analysis of investments mediated by CzechInvest Agency in the years 1998-2015

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá investicemi zprostředkovanými Agenturou CzechInvest v letech 1998-2015. Analýzou dostupných dat o celkovém přílivu přímých zahraničních investic nejprve práce zjišťuje, že během sledovaného období nedochází k pozitivnímu vývoji co se objemu, počtu a přechodu na investice s vyšší přidanou hodnotou týká. V druhé části za pomoci dat o investičních pobídkách práce potvrzuje stanovenou hypotézu o jejich vývoji a nenachází pozitivní vliv investic s udělenou investiční pobídkou na nezaměstnanost, HDP na obyvatele a výši průměrné mzdy v regionech s nejvyšší mírou nezaměstnanosti. Výsledné závěry jsou učiněny nejen na základě přímých dat, ale sledovány jsou také ukazatele vytvořených pracovních míst, původu investorů, sektorů lokalizace investic, v závěrečné části je pak vliv IUIP na nezaměstnanost sledován nejen na základě analýzy těchto faktorů, ale posouzena je také souvislost s vývojem počtu zaměstnaných v regionu.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on investments mediated by CzechInvest Agency in the years 1998-2015. By analysis of FDI inflows the work indicates that during the observed period there is no positive development of quantity and volume of FDI as well as change for the high tech investments. In the second part of the thesis by analysing investment incentives data, we can reject the defined hypothesis claiming the positive development of investment incentives during the period. The work does not find the positive impact of investments with public aid on unemployment rate, GDP per capita or gross average monthly wage in regions with the highest unemployment rate. The results mentioned are based on more than just analysis of the observed data, the work also focuses on impact on indirect indicators such as number of newly created jobs, origin of investors, sectors of localization or number of employed people in the regions in the second part of the analytical section of the thesis.
