Abstract:

Vysoké dávky oxidu zinečnatého (ZnO) podávané selatům perorálně za účelem prevence průjmů a zvýšení rychlosti růstu mohou kontaminovat farmy s prasaty a okolní prostředí. Ve výsledku je nutná náhrada vysokých dávek ZnO ve stravě stejně účinnou alternativou. V této studii byl zkoumán dopad dvou formulací nanočástic na bázi fosforečnanu zinečnatého (ZnA a ZnC NP) na účinnost růstu, střevní mikrobiotu a antioxidační stav. Celkem 100 odstavených selat bylo náhodně rozděleno do jedné z deseti stejných skupin, kterým byla podávána buď základní strava (kontrola), nebo základní strava doplněná ZnA, ZnC nebo ZnO v koncentracích 500, 1 000 a 2 000 mg Zn na kilogram strava. Zvířata dostávala doplňky po dobu deseti dnů. Ve dnech 0, 5, 10 a 20 byly získány vzorky stolice. Tři selata z každé strany byla usmrcena a vyšetřena na konci procedury (den 10). Výsledky: Ve srovnání s kontrolní skupinou měly všechny třídy selat krmené ZnA významně vyšší hmotnostní přírůstek (P <0,05). Rovněž byly rozdíly v celkových aerobních bakteriích a počtech koliformních bakterií ve výkalech selat po suplementaci NP ve srovnání s kontrolní a ZnO skupinou (P <0,05). Většina aerobních kultivovatelných bakterií ve stolici byla Escherichia (28,57–47,62%), Enterococcus (3,85–35,71%) a Streptococcus (3,70–42,31%) spp. Pouze ZnA měl vliv na antioxidační stav selat. Závěr: Výsledky ukazují, že i při nízkých koncentracích zvyšují ZnA NP účinnost růstu selat. Prasata doplněná ZnC měla nejnižší prevalenci faktorů virulence E. coli. Nanočástice vyrobené z fosforečnanu zinečnatého mohou být životaschopnou alternativou k ZnO.

Abstract:

High doses of zinc oxide (ZnO) administered orally to piglets for diarrhea prevention and growth rate increase may contaminate pig farms and the surrounding environment. As a result, a substitute for high doses of dietary ZnO with an equally effective alternative is needed. The impact of two zinc phosphate-based nanoparticle formulations (ZnA and ZnC NPs) on growth efficiency, intestinal microbiota, and antioxidant status were investigated in this study. A total of 100 weaned piglets were randomly allocated to one of ten equal groups that received either the base diet (control) or the base diet supplemented with ZnA, ZnC, or ZnO at concentrations of 500, 1000, and 2000 mg Zn per kilogram of diet. Animals were given supplements for ten days. On days 0, 5, 10, and 20, fecal samples were obtained. Three piglets from each party were sacrificed and examined at the end of the procedure (day 10). Results: As compared to the control group, all piglet classes fed ZnA had significantly higher weight gain (P< 0.05). There were also variations in overall aerobic bacteria and coliform counts in piglet feces after NPs supplementation relative to the control and ZnO groups (P <0.05). The majority of aerobic culturable bacteria from feces were Escherichia (28.57–47.62%), Enterococcus (3.85–35.71%), and Streptococcus (3.70–42.31%) spp. Only ZnA had an impact on the antioxidant status of piglets. Conclusions: The results show that even at low concentrations, ZnA NPs boost piglet growth efficiency. Pigs supplemented with ZnC had the lowest prevalence of E. coli virulence factors. Nanoparticles made of zinc phosphate may be a viable alternative to ZnO.
