Nursing Care Plan for Patient Undergoing Awake Craniotomy

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřená na problematiku ošetřovatelské péče o pacienta podstupujícího awake kraniotomii. Cílem bakalářské práce je vypracování vzorového obecného plánu ošetřovatelské péče pro tyto pacienty. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí: teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část se zabývá charakteristikou mozkových nádorů, popisuje příznaky, diagnostiku a léčbu. Specifikuje operační postup awake kraniotomie, indikace, kontraindikace a možné komplikace. Zmiňuje se o pozici sestry při ošetřování nemocného a dopadu onemocnění na pacienta. Praktická část obsahuje obecný plán ošetřovatelské péče pro pacienta podstupujícího awake kraniotomii. Plán je vypracován od příjmu pacienta až po jeho propuštění do domácí péče. Popisuje předoperační přípravu pacienta, perioperační péči a pooperační období. V části popisující pooperační období jsou zmíněna specifika ošetřovatelské péče, kterými jsou monitorace stavu vědomí, stavu zornic a provádění základního neurologického screeningu. Při vypracování obecného plánu jsou v práci použity ošetřovatelské diagnózy podle NANDA International Ošetřovatelské diagnózy Definice a klasifikace 2012-2014, cíle ošetřovatelské péče a ošetřovatelské intervence. Ošetřovatelské diagnózy jsou seřazeny podle priority.

Abstract:

ABSTRACT The bachelor thesis is focused on issues of nursing care for patient undergoes awake craniotomy. The aim of this bachelor thesis is making the nursing care plan for these patients. It is divided into two parts: the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part covers the characteristic of brain tumours, their symptoms, diagnostics and treatment. Next chapters describe surgery of awake craniotomy, indications, contraindications and possible complications. It refers to role of nurse in care of patient and the impact of disease on him. In the practical part of the bachelor thesis is included the nursing care plan for patient undergoes awake craniotomy. The care plan is made from taking the patient into the hospital to his leaving into a home care. Then it describes the pre-operative preparation of the recipient, the perioperative care and the post-operative period. In the part describing the post-operative period are mentioned the characteristic things about the nursing care, which are monitoring the state of constiousness, the state of pupils and doing the basic neurological screening. The nursing care plan presents diagnosis, which are determined using Nanda International Nursing Diagnosis: Definitions and Classification 2012-2014, the aims of Nursing care and nursing interventions. The nursing diagnosis are arranged according to priority.
