Bakalářská práce se skládá ze tří kapitol. První kapitola se zabývá vymezením pojmu empatie, jejím historickým vývojem. Dále se bakalářská práce věnuje vývoji a procesu vcítění se do druhých, emocemi, jež jsou podobné nebo odlišné empatii, úrovním a druhům empatie, fázím empatického naslouchání a způsobům měření empatie.
