Happiness and life satisfaction of countries in European comparison

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na analýzu kvality života ve vybraných zemích Evropy a identifikaci faktorů ovlivňujících životní spokojenost obyvatel. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována období posledních pěti let, během kterého došlo k významným událostem, jako je pandemie covid-19, migrace a změny v politickém a ekonomickém prostředí. První část diplomové práce se zabývá důležitými pojmy spojenými s tématem práce, kde je podrobněji definována kvalita života a další související koncepty. Praktická část práce obsahuje komparativní analýzu kvality života v zemích severní, střední, jižní, západní a východní Evropy, přičemž jsou zkoumány rozdíly a podobnosti mezi těmito regiony. V závěru práce jsou prezentovány získané výsledky analýzy a provedena diskuse jejich interpretace v kontextu stanovených cílů a hypotéz.

Abstract:

This master thesis focuses on the analysis of the quality of life in selected European countries and the identification of factors influencing the life satisfaction of the population. Particular attention is paid to the last five years, during which major events such as the covid-19 pandemic, migration and changes in the political and economic environment have occurred. The first part of the thesis deals with important concepts related to the thesis topic, where quality of life and other related concepts are defined in more detail. The practical part of the thesis includes a comparative analysis of the quality of life in the countries of Northern, Central, Southern, Western and Eastern Europe, examining the differences and similarities between these regions. The thesis concludes with a presentation of the results obtained from the analysis and a discussion of their interpretation in the context of the stated objectives and hypotheses.
