Changes in the Labor Market of the Mladá Boleslav Commuting Region after 2000

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na zhodnocení změn na trhu práce v Mladé Boleslavi a v jejím dojížďkovém regionu mezi roky 2001 a 2011. Metodou časové komparativní analýzy byly sledovány změny z hlediska zaměstnanosti a její odvětvové struktury v centru a jeho zázemí. Dále byl vyhodnocen vývoj nezaměstnanosti po roce 2000 s důrazem na období ekonomické krize. Nezbytná pro zpracování diplomové práce byla detailní analýza dat o proudech dojížďky za prací, která vedla k územnímu vymezení aglomerace, jejího zázemí, a tudíž celého dojížďkového regionu. Práce tak v teoretické rovině vychází z prací regionálních geografů zabývajících se aglomeračními procesy v území.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the evaluation of changes in the labor market in the city of Mladá Boleslav and its commuting region between 2001 and 2011. The method of time comparative analysis was used to monitor changes in terms of employment and its sectoral structure in the city center and its hinterland area. Furthermore the development of the unemployment after 2000 was evaluated with an emphasis on the period of the economic crisis. Necessary for the elaboration of the thesis was a detailed analysis of the data about the commuting flows to work which led to the territorial definition of the agglomeration, its hinterland and hence the entire commuting region. The theoretical part of the thesis is based upon the work of regional geographers who were dealing with an agglomeration processes in the area.
