Automatic evaluation of detection for FMCW radar

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vyhodnocováním kvality detekcí FMCW radaru používaného v automobilovém průmyslu. V teoretické části práce je popsán obecný princip a rozdělení radarových systémů. Podrobněji je popsán FMCW radar a měření vzdálenosti, úhlu a Dopplerovy rychlosti objektů pro daný systém. Následně je uvedena testovací metodika pro měření různých vlastností radaru pomocí pohybující se automatizované jednotky. V praktické části je uveden program pro výpočet trajektorie této jednotky, kde je možné nastavovat různé parametry vzhledem k potřebám analýzy. Nakonec je popsán program, který vyhodnocuje vlastnosti radaru a jeho detekcí a následně provede jejich statistickou analýzu.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis deals with an evaluation of detection quality of FMCW radar used in an automotive industry. The basis and different radar systems are described in theoretical part of the thesis. Moreover, principles of FCWM radar and its measurement are analyzed more in the detail, namely: a distance, an angle and a Doppler speed of objects. Next, methods for measurements of various properties of radar detections using moving automated platform are mentioned. The practical part describes a program for trajectory calculation of the automated platform. The program can allow to set different properties considering the needs of the analysis. In the end the measurements are evaluated using described program and results are discussed.
