Astma je chronické onemocnění dolních dýchacích cest, v němž hrají roli mnohé buňky a jejich mediátory. Ačkoli je etiologie astmatu multifaktoriální, patogenetické mechanizmy astmatu zahrnují dysregulovanou zánětlivou reakci spojenou s průduškovou hyperreaktivitou, což vede k opakujícím se epizodám pískotů, dušnosti a kašle. Abstract:
Asthma is a chronic disease of the lower respiratory tract in which many cells and their mediators play a role. Although the aetiology of asthma is multifactorial, the pathogenetic mechanisms of asthma comprise of a dysregulated inflammatory reaction due to bronchial hyperresponsiveness, which in turn leads to repeating episodes of wheezing, shortness of breath and a cough.
