Ideal Teacher as Perceived by Pupils at Basic School

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce přináší informace o tom,jak si žáci druhého stupně základní školy představují svého ideálního učitele. Jaké by měl mít ideální vlastnosti či dovednosti, jaké pohlaví či věk preferují, čeho si žáci na učitelích všímají, čemu přisuzují význam a jaké požadavky na učitele kladou. V teoretické části se věnuji osobnosti učitele, jeho profesi a nárokům, které jsou na ni kladeny, dále se zabývám interakčními procesy mezi učitelem a žáky a v poslední části přináším informace o realizovaných výzkumech týkajících se ideálního učitele. Empirická část představuje kvalitativní výzkum, který jsem na toto téma realizovala. Zde popisuji výzkumné otázky, zkoumaný vzorek a metodu, kterou jsem při vyhodnocování dat použila. Dále přináším výsledky analýzy získaných dat a tím pádem i informace o tom, jaký by měl být ideální učitel a zda vůbec ideální učitel existuje. Cílem mé práce je předložit obraz ideálního učitele očima žáků základní školy.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with information on how pupils at second-degree of basic schools imagine their ideal teacher. It tells what qualities and skills should teachers have, what age or sex are preferred, what children most pay attention to, what is particularly important for them and what they expect from teachers. The theoretical part presents teacher’s personality, his profession and demands, which are involved. Furthermore, I consider interactive processes between a teacher and pupils and in the last part I bring information on realized researches relating to the ideal teacher. The empirical part presents qualitative research, which I realized on the theme. Here I describe the experimental questions, surveyed sample and method, which I used for data evaluation. Further, I bring the results of data analysis and thereby information on what an ideal teacher should be like and if such people really exist. The aim of this thesis is to present a portrait of an ideal teacher as perceived by pupils at basic school.
