Bakalářská práce zkoumá postavu Satana v díle francouzského umělce Gustava Dorého (1832–1883). Dopodrobna se zaměřuje na jeho knižní ilustrace doprovázející anglický epos Johna Miltona, Ztracený ráj, vydaný roku 1866 nakladatelstvím Cassell, Petter & Galpin. Abstract:
The bachelor thesis examines the figure of Satan in the work of the French artist Gustave Doré (1832–1883). It primarily focuses on his book illustrations for the English epic poem Paradise Lost by John Milton, published in 1866 by Cassell, Petter & Galpin. The study compares Doré's Satan with that of earlier artists who dealt with the same motif in their work and who could have acted as creative …more
