Visual presentation of the ZOO in Ústí nad Labem using geoinformatics methods

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na téma vizuální prezentace zoologické zahrady v Ústí nad Labem s využitím metod geoinformatiky v prostředí internetu. V rámci práce byl, na základě pořízených leteckých snímků a realizovaného skenování s využitím technologie LiDAR, vytvořen 3D model zoologické zahrady a přilehlého okolí. Tento 3D model byl následně použit jako jedna z komponent pro vizualizaci prostředí ZOO Ústi nad Labem v prostředí internetu. Vytvořený 3D model byl dále upraven pro potřeby fyzického 3D tisku, a v případě realizace 3D tisku bude možné tento model použít k další propagaci zoologické zahrady. Hlavním výsledkem práce je mapa s příběhem (tzv. StoryMapa), která návštěvníkům prezentuje historii, jednotlivé pavilony zoologické zahrady, vytvořený 3D model a další informace prostřednictvím atraktivní internetové prezentace.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the visual presentation of the zoological Garden in Ústí nad Labem using geoinformatics methods in the internet environment. Within the framework of the thesis, a 3D model of the ZOO and its surroundings was created based on aerial photographs and scanning using LiDAR technology. This 3D model was subsequently used as one of the components for the visualization of the environment of the Ústí nad Labem ZOO in the internet environment. The created 3D model was further modified for the needs of physical 3D printing, and in case of 3D printing it will be possible to use this model for further promotion of the ZOO. The main result of the work is a map with a story (Story Map), which presents to visitors the history, individual pavilions of the ZOO, the created 3D model and other information through an attractive web presentation.
