Role of ATM gene in determination of malignant cells sensitivity to anti-cancer therapy
Abstract:
Many studies show that a defect of the ATM gene (deletion, mutation, common inactivation of both alleles) leads to a resistance of malignant cells to anticancer therapy. Surprisingly, there are also many works that clearly demonstrate the opposite effect, i.e. the inhibition of ATM protein significantly increases a sensitivity of cancer cells to DNA damage. Abstract:
Rada štúdií ukazuje, že poškodenie génu ATM (delécia, mutácia, spoločná inaktivácia oboch alel) vedie k rezistencii malígnych buniek na protinádorovú terapiu.
