The motivation of adolescents from the socially excluded locations towards education

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice motivace ke vzdělávání adolescentů ze sociálně vyloučených lokalit. Cílem teoretické části je zmapování současné situace v oblasti vzdělávání mládeže se zaměřením na sociální exkluzi. Výzkumným cílem je analýza motivačních faktorů k edukaci. Teoretická část práce vysvětlí pojmy spojené se sociálním vyloučením, specifikace vzdělávacích potřeb romských žáků a studentů a v neposlední řadě vymezuje samotný pojem motivace. Cílem výzkumného šetření, provedeného pomocí dotazníkového šetření, bylo zjistit, který typ motivace ke vzdělávání u adolescentů romského etnika převažuje. Šetření bylo provedeno na základě osobní žádosti s ředitelkou ZŠ a SŠ v Mostě v rámci výuky a s koordinátorkou Oblastní Charity Most, konkrétně v Nízkoprahovém denním centru Most.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of motivation to educate adolescents from socially excluded localities. The aim of the theoretical part is to map the current situation in the field of youth education with a focus on social exclusion. The research goal is the analysis of motivational factors for education. The theoretical part of the thesis explains the concepts associated with social exclusion, the specification of the educational needs of Roma pupils and students and, last but not least, defines the very concept of motivation. The aim of the research survey, carried out using a questionnaire survey, was to find out which type of motivation for education prevails among Roma adolescents. The survey was carried out on the basis of a personal request with the principal of the primary and secondary school in Most as part of the teaching and with the coordinator of the Most Regional Charity, specifically in the Most Low-Threshold Day Center.
