Comparison of the results of postural stability testing on DeskBalance and Imoove

Abstract:

Základní motorickou dovedností člověka je posturální stabilita, kterou díky přístrojovým metodám můžeme objektivně změřit a výsledky poté analyzovat. Cílem této diplomové práce je zhodnotit výsledné parametry získané testováním stability stoje u zdravých osob a posoudit míru využitelnosti dvou testovacích zařízení v klinické rehabilitační praxi. K vyšetření posturální stability 25 zdravých probandů (23,68 ± 2,10 let) byly využity přístroje Imoove® a DeskBalance. Soubor testovaných jedinců tvořilo 16 žen (23,25 ± 1,81 let) a 9 mužů (24,44 ± 2,46 let). Oba přístroje testují dynamickou posturální stabilitu na základě zpětnovazebné optické informace. DeskBalance hodnotí stabilitu stoje reagující na pasivní labilitu polokulovité úseče po dobu 30 s. Imoove® komplexně vyhodnocuje a analyzuje stabilitu stoje vystavované aktivně se měnícím podmínkám změn stojné plochy po dobu 60 s v koordinaci s čiností horních končetin. Výsledky hodnocení posturální stability neukázaly statisticky významné rozdíly ve prospěch některého z použitých přístrojů ani mezi pohlavími. Zajímavé výsledky přineslo zhodnocení motorického učení mezi 1. a 3. pokusem měření, kde byl nalezen statisticky významný rozdíl výsledků stability.

Abstract:

Postural stability is the basic motor skill of the human, which, thanks to instrumentation methods, can be objectively measured and the results can be analyzed afterwards. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the resulting parameters obtained by testing a standing stability in healthy subjects and asses the degree of usability testing two devices in clinical rehabilitation practice. For examination the postural stability of 25 healthy subjects (23,68 ± 2,10 years) were used two devices, Imoove® and DeskBalance. The cohort of test subjects consisted of 16 women (23,25 ± 1,81 years) and 9 males (24,44 ± 2,46 years). Both devices evaluate dynamic postural stability on the basis of the visual feedback. DeskBalance evaluates stability of the stance, which have to response to passive lability hemispherical segment for 30 s. Imoove® comprehensively evaluates and asses the stability of standing exhibited actively changing conditions of stance surface for 60 s in coordination with the activity of the upper limbs. Results of the evaluation of postural stability did not show statistically significant differences in favor of any of the devices or between women and males. Interesting results were achieved in the evaluation of motor learning between 1st and 3rd measuring attempts, where a statistically significant difference between the results of stability was found.
