The use of service dogs at the Policie of Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá využitím služebních psů u Policie České republiky. Jejím cílem je přinést komplexní a ucelený pohled na činnost současných policejních psů, včetně krátkého exkurzu do historie služební kynologie na území České republiky. V práci bude využita zejména kompilační metoda formou rešerše literárních zdrojů. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na pět kapitol. První kapitolou jsou vymezeny základní kynologické pojmy, jenž se vztahují ke služební kynologii. Druhá kapitola je věnována genezi kynologické činnosti na území České republiky, včetně krátkého popisu kynologických organizací u nás a ve světě. Následující dvě kapitoly pojednávají o jádru této bakalářské práce, a to o kynologické činnosti u Policie České republiky. V třetí kapitole je věnována pozornost plemenům, která jsou nejčastěji využívána v rámci činnosti Policie České republiky, taktéž je zde zmíněna výchova a výcvik služebního psa, výcviková střediska a chovatelské stanice. Rovněž jsou zde pro zajímavost uvedeny policejní kynologické soutěže. Čtvrtá kapitola obsahuje popis policejně kynologických činností, od těch základních až po ty speciální. V páté kapitole je provedena komparace a vyhodnocení statistických údajů počtu použití služebních psů za vybrané období.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the use of service dogs in the Police of the Czech Republic. Its aim is to provide a comprehensive and integrated view of the activities of contemporary police dogs, including a short excursion into the history of service cynology in the Czech Republic. The thesis will mainly use the compilation method in the form of a literature search. The bachelor thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter defines the basic cynological concepts related to service cynology. The second chapter is devoted to the genesis of cynological activities in the Czech Republic, including a brief description of cynological organisations in the Czech Republic and in the world. The following two chapters deal with the core of this bachelor thesis, namely the cynological activites of the Police of the Czech Republic. In the third chapter attention is paid to the breeds that are most often used in different departments of the Policie of the Czech Republic, as well as the education and training of service dogs. Training centres and kennels are also mentioned. There is a brief description of police cynological competitions. The fourth chapter details police cynological activities, from the basic to the more complex ones. The fifth chapter compares and evaluates statistical data on the number of service dogs used in the selected period.
