Design of the Felberova Primary School (Svitavy) with the use of blue and green infrastructure elements

Abstract:

Abstrakt Bakalářská práce se zabývá zpracováním návrhu úpravy veřejného prostranství s využitím prvků opatření modré a zelené infrastruktury. V teoretické části je přiblížena aktuální problematika extrémních výkyvů počasí, tepelného ostrova měst, způsoby hospodaření s dešťovou vodou a představeny jsou taktéž konkrétní prvky opatření modré a zelené infrastruktury a jejich význam v řešené problematice. V práci jsou taktéž uvedeny příklady dobré praxe zrealizovaných projektů z České republiky i zahraničí. Příklady dobré praxe jsou zaměřeny na areály vzdělávacích zařízení. Stejně tak praktická návrhová část, která řeší úpravu areálu základní školy Felberova ve městě Svitavy. Cílem návrhů úprav je nejen zlepšit mikroklima a pobytovou funkci území, ale taktéž podpořit environmentální vzdělávání žáků v této oblasti formou praktických ukázek. V rámci zpracování práce bylo provedeno zhodnocení stávající dostupné dokumentace, provedeno terénní šetření ve vybraném území, aplikováno dotazníkové šetření pro pedagogy i rodiče žáků a rozhovory s vedením školy. Na základě výsledků všech zmíněných šetření byly navrženy možné úpravy areálu ZŠ Felberova s využitím prvků opatření modré a zelené infrastruktury. Na závěr byly popsány možnosti realizace, rizika a financování těchto návrhů. Výsledky práce byly konzultovány s vedením školy.

Abstract:

Abstract The bachelor thesis deals with the elaboration of a proposal for the design of public spaces using elements of blue and green infrastructure measures. In the theoretical part, the current issues of extreme weather fluctuations, urban heat island, methods of rainwater management are presented, as well as specific elements of blue and green infrastructure measures and their significance in the issue at hand. Examples of good practice of implemented projects from the Czech Republic and abroad are also presented. The examples of good practice are focused on the premises of educational institutions. The same is true for the practical design part, which deals with the adaptation of the Felberova primary school in Svitavy. The aim of the design proposals is not only to improve the microclimate and the residential function of the area, but also to promote environmental education of pupils in this area through practical demonstrations. The work included an evaluation of the existing documentation, a field survey in the selected area, a questionnaire survey for teachers and parents of pupils and interviews with the school management. On the basis of the results of all these investigations, possible modifications of the Felberova Primary School area were proposed using elements of blue and green infrastructure measures. Finally, the possibilities of implementation, risks and financing of these proposals were described. The results of the work were consulted with the school management.
