Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou adekvátnosti překladu literárního textu z němčiny do češtiny na příkladu románu Sebastiana Fitzeka: Amokspiel - Šílená hra. V teoretické části diplomové práce je představena translatologie, dále překladatelské teorie, umělecký překlad a stylistika.
