Classification and sorting of cryptocurrencies

Abstract:

V roce 2009 vznikla první kryptoměna, Bitcoin. Je to decentralizovaná digitální měna fungující na matematicko-kryptografických principech. Během devíti let své existence se Bitcoin stal úspěšným globálním projektem a jeho úspěch společně s technologií bločenky inspiroval vznik tisíců alternativních kryptoměn. Na rozdíl od Bitcoinu se mnoho alternativních kryptoměn nesnaží jen o nahrazení standardních platidel, ale stávají se motorem pro projekty z různých odvětví reálného života. V roce 2018 je těchto odvětví velmi mnoho a navíc ve většině z nich je několik konkurenčních kryptoměnových projektů. Tématem této práce je analýza ekosystému kryptoměn a přiblížení možností jejich použití. Cílem je návrh a realizace klasifikačního systému pro kryptoměny, zejména tokeny. Tato klasifikace podstatným způsobem zpřehlední jejich ekosystém, navíc ukáže jaké inovace vznikají v takto konkurenčním prostředí.

Abstract:

In 2009, Bitcoin was developed as the first cryptocurrency. It is a decentralized digital currency operating on mathematical-cryptographic principles. During its nine years of existence, Bitcoin has become a successful global project, and its success, coupled with blockchain technology, has inspired the creation of thousands of alternative cryptocurrencies. Unlike Bitcoin, many alternative cryptocurrencies are not just trying to replace standard currencies, but become the engine for projects from different real-life sectors. In 2018, these industries are very numerous, and in most of them there are several competing cryptocurrency projects. The theme of this work is to analyze the ecosystem of cryptocurrencies and to approach the possibilities of their use. The aim is to design and implement a classification system for cryptocurrencies, especially tokens. This classification will make their ecosystem more transparent, and will show what innovations are emerging in such a competitive environment.
