Cílem této diplomové práce je analyzovat román Pohřbený obr (The Buried Giant, Kazuo Ishiguro) a jeho český překlad od Lenky Sobotové za pomocí teorie fikčních světů. This thesis aims to analyse The Buried Giant by Kazuo Ishiguro and its Czech rendition Pohřbený obr translated by Lenka Sobotová through the lens of the theory of fictional worlds. First, it establishes a theoretical background based on the works of previous researchers in the field, predominantly on the work of Lubomír Doležel.
