Effects of the concept of accounting and taxation on individual types of accounting entities

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá dopady koncepce účetnictví a zdanění na jednotlivé typy účetních jednotek se zaměřením na podnikatelské a nestátní neziskové subjekty. Na základě zjištěných poznatků v oblasti účetnictví a na základě specifických vlastností podnikatelských a nestátních neziskových organizací jsou v práci identifikovány jednotlivé rozdíly ve vyhláškách č. 500/2002 Sb. pro podnikatelské subjekty a 504/2002 Sb. pro nestátní neziskové subjekty. Dle identifikovaných rozdílů jsou doporučeny změny vedoucí ke sjednocení vyhlášek. Problematika účetnictví je následně aplikována na modelových příkladech pro přiblížení rozdílů mezi zkoumanými subjekty. Oblast zdaňování je zaměřena především na zdaňování veřejně prospěšného poplatníka, přičemž v rámci této problematiky je provedeno srovnání úzkého a širokého základu daně. V důsledku neustálého sbližování světových ekonomik dochází k nutnosti srovnání účetních závěrek a z toho důvodu se v České republice stále více nabízí možnost přiblížení účetnictví koncepci IFRS. V práci jsou zkonstruovány i modelové příklady poukazující na rozdíly v účetních postupech dle české účetní legislativy a koncepce IFRS. Část práce je zaměřena i na aktuálně diskutované téma související s výkaznictvím o nefinančních informacích.

Abstract:

The master’s thesis deals with the effects of the concept of accounting and taxation on individual types of accounting entities with a focus on business and non-governmental non-profit entities. Based on the findings in the field of accounting and on specific characteristics of business and non-governmental non-profit organizations, individual differences in Decrees No. 500/2002 Coll. for business entities and 504/2002 Coll. for non-governmental non-profit entities are identified. According to the identified differences, changes leading to the unification of decrees are recommended. The issue of accounting is then applied to model examples to approach the differences between the subjects. The area of taxation is focused primarily on the taxation of the public benefit taxpayer, while a comparison of narrow and broad tax bases is made within this issue. As a result of the constant convergence of world economies, it is necessary to compare financial statements, and for this reason the Czech Republic is increasingly offered the possibility of bringing accounting closer to the IFRS concept. The thesis also constructs model examples pointing out the differences in accounting procedures according to Czech accounting legislation and the IFRS concept. Part of the work is also focused on the currently discussed topic related to reporting on non-financial information.
