The research, which has been done in this thesis, deals with the implicit author in the context of documentary filmmaking. The theoretical basis is the theory of modes of documentary film created by Bill Nichols and concept of the copyright entity defined by Bořivoj Srba, which the author tries to apply on the documental Czech TV series called Burianův den žen.
