Abstract:

Tato práce seznamuje čtenáře s podstatou charakterového designu a jeho funkcí v animovaných snímcích. Dále představuje, vysvětluje a konkrétně ukazuje prvky, které ovlivňují jednak samotný design postav, divákovo vnímání postavy a také jejich vliv na schopnost postav nést danou dějovou linku. Zahrnuje hlediska barev, tvarů, siluet, detailů, line of action, role gest a póz, tváře apod. Dále zachycuje zásadní momenty, principy a postupy práce na charakterovém designu, které jsou klíčové pro vytvoření funkčních postav pro daný animovaný film. V poslední části bakalářské práce se věnuji procesu výroby krátké animované etudy s názvem Nezbedové ze snu.

Abstract:

This work introduces the reader to the significance of character design and its functions in animated movies. It explores, explains and demonstrates elements that influence the design of characters, viewer's perception of them and also the character's ability to develop and convey story lines. The work includes topics such as colour, shape, silhouettes, details, line of action, role of gesture and poses, face and more. It also includes crucial moments, principles and procedures which lead to a functional character design in animated movie. The last part of this work explores the making-process of a short animated etudy called the Rascals from a Dream.
