Foreign activities of Czech regions in relation to the good name of the country

Abstract:

Diplomová práce na téma Zahraniční aktivity českých krajů ve vazbě na dobré jméno země si klade za cíl zjistit, zda a jakým způsobem se české kraje podílejí na tvorbě dobrého jména České republiky v zahraničí. Práce se zabývá teoretickým vymezením aktérů, nástrojů a strategií paradiplomacie. Stejný aparát (strategie, nástroje a aktéři) je využit při uchopení tématu dobrého jména země. V neposlední řadě se práce zabývá průzkumem současných zahraničních aktivit vybraných českých krajů. V rámci výzkumu bylo rovněž využito kvalitativního šetření se zástupci vybraných českých krajů.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis on the topic of Foreign activities of the Czech regions in relation to the good name of the country aims to find out whether and how the Czech regions participate in the creation of the good name of the Czech Republic abroad. The work deals with the theoretical definition of actors, tools and strategies of paradiplomacy. The same apparatus (strategies, tools and actors) is used to present the topic of the country's reputation. Last but not least, the current foreign activities of selected Czech regions were analyzed. The qualitative survey with representatives of selected Czech regions was also presented in the thesis.
