Kinetic objects in theater

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá nefigurativní kinetické objekty v divadle ana poli výtvarného umění. Autorka vychází ze své zkušenosti s těmito objekty,které byly součástí zvukové performance Don't dance too much a divadelníinscenace Medulla . Úvodní kapitola stručně shrne kinetické tendence v divadle avýtvarném umění napříč historií. Poté se práce dotkne pojmu loutka, jejíproměny a vztahu loutky a kinetiky. Dále je v práci přiblížena tvorba umělců,kteří se stali výchozí inspirací pro oba projekty. Jedná se o práci umělceZimouna, performance Dead plants and living objects a tvorbu Petra Nikla. Druháčást bakalářské práce se věnuje projektům Don't dance too much a Medulla.Popíše jejich vznik, průběh, práci s nefigurativními kinetickými objekty avýsledný tvar obou projektů. Poslední kapitola se pokusí určit, zda senefigurativní objekty, kterými se práce zabývala v předchozích kapitolách, dajípovažovat za loutku či nikoliv. V závěru autorka přiblíží, jakým způsobem by seráda těmto objektům v budoucnu věnovala.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis examines non-figurative kinetic objects in theater andin the field of fine arts. The author proceeds her experience with these objects,which were part of the sound performance Don't dance too much and the t heaterperformance Medulla . The introductory chapter briefly summarizes kinetictendencies in theater and fine arts throughout history. Then the work draws onthe term of the puppet, its transformation and the relationship between thepuppet and kinetics. Furthermore, the work describes the work of artists whohave become the initial inspiration for both projects. These are the works of theartist Zimoun, the performance Dead plants and living objects and the work ofPetr Nikl. The second part of the bachelor thesis deals with the projects Don'tdance too much and Medulla . Describes their origin, course, work withnon-figurative kinetic objects and the resulting form of both projects. The lastchapter tries to determine whether the non-figurative objects, which the workdealt with in the previous chapters, can be considered a puppet or not. In theend, the author describes how she would like to work with these objects in thefuture.
