Abstract:

Táto bakalárska práca pojednáva o tvorbe dvoch významných európskych režisérov Juraja Jakubiska a Emira Kusturicu, ktorí sa obaja preslávili užívaním ireálnych prvkov a ich systematickej kombinácií s reálnym prostredím, čo v istej fáze ich tvorby dospelo k prvkom magického realizmu. Práca sleduje ich dlhometrážnu hranú kino tvorbu od debutu po posledný film a skúma nielen samotné užívanie ireálnych prvkov, ale aj spôsob ich vývoja v rámci rukopisu. Okrem toho sa snaží oboch tvorcov porovnať a prísť k záveru toho, ako obaja dosiahli tejto systematickej práce v niečom rovnakým a v niečom odlišným spôsobom. Pre účely tejto práce v nej analyzujem 24 celovečerných hraných filmov a 2 krátkometrážne hrané filmy.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis covers the work of two remarkable film directors; Juraj Jakubisko and Emir Kusturuica, which both rose to fame thanks to their use of illusory elements within their film narration as well as its systematic combination with the real world, what matured at certain phase of their careers into elements of magical realism. This thesis will follow their feature-length, acted, production with movie theater release from their debuting film to the last one, and not only the use of illusory elements within their work will be examined but their evolution throughout their production will too be examined. Apart from previously mentioned this thesis draws on comparison of both filmmakers and intends to examine how both accomplished their methodics of work with illusory elements in similar and dissimilar fashion. For the purposes of this work I am analysing 24 feature films and 2 short films.
