Diplomová práce se zabývá osobností Bohumila Štěpánka a jeho prací v oblasti shakespearovského překladu. Štěpánek se této oblasti věnoval velmi krátce, především mezi lety 1924 a 1931, přesto se mu podařilo přeložit všechny Shakespearovy hry s výjimkou dvou. The present thesis called "Bohumil Štěpánek and His Place among Czech Shakespearean Translators" aims at elucidating Bohumil Štěpánek's contribution to the field of Czech translations of Shakespeare.
