Niche market analysis: healthy nutrition

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá preferencemi spotřebitelů na trhu zdravé výživy a aktuálním stavem na trhu. Práce zkoumá, zda opravdu existuje mezera na trhu zdravé výživy a na základě vyzkoumaných dat a informací se pokouší predikovat budoucí vývoj trhu v oblasti zdravé výživy. Trendem současné doby je zdravý životní styl, se kterým je spojeno zdravé stravování, a z tohoto důvodu bylo zvoleno toto téma. Diplomová práce se skládá ze dvou částí, a to z teoretické a praktické části. V teoretické části je rozebrán pojem zdravá výživa, výživové směry, zdravá výživa pro práci, organizace, nevládní iniciativy, výživa ve vybraných zemích a důsledky nezdravého stravování. Součástí práce praktické je vyhodnocení vlastního dotazníkové šetření, rozhovory s majiteli restaurací a výživovým poradcem, průzkum trhu zdravé výživy, co se týče restaurací, prodejen a biopotravin, propagace zdravého životního stylu a stanovit podnikatelský potenciál na trhu zdravé výživy. Závěr diplomové práce komparuje zjištěné výsledky se stanovenými předpoklady.

Abstract:

The purpose of this Master's Thesis is to consider preferences of the consumers on the market of healthy nutrition and trends on this market. The Thesis analyzes if the niche on the market of healthy nutrition really exists and tries to predict future development of the healthy nutrition through the found out facts. The topic of this Master's Thesis was chosen because healthy lifestyle represents a hot topic for many discussions. This Thesis includes theoretical and analytical parts. Importance of healthy nutrition, nutrition orientations, healthy nutrition for work, organizations, nongovernmental initiatives, nutrition in the other countries and negative consequences of unhealthy eating is clarified in the theoretical part. In the practical part, the results of my own survey and the interviews with owners of the restaurants are evaluated, in addition to professional nutritionist and research done in the restaurants and retails offering healthy food. In the practical part, there are also included: survey on the market of organic food, promotion of healthy lifestyle and specify business potential on the market of healthy nutrition. In conclusion of this Master's Thesis findings with the assumption are summed up.
