Nursing care for patients with acute cholecystitis

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce, kterou jsem vypracovala při studiu oboru všeobecná sestra, se zabývá tématem "Ošetřovatelská kazuistika u pacienta s akutním zánětem žlučníku". Hlavním cílem této práce je popsat a přiblížit specifiku ošetřovatelské péče o pacienta s výše zmíněnou diagnózou jak zdravotnickému personálu, tak i laické veřejnosti. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a empirickou. V teoretické části je popsána anatomie a fyziologie žlučníku a žlučových cest, druhy onemocnění, vyšetřovací metody, léčba a prevence uvedených nemocí. Empirická část prezentuje komplexní kazuistiku 65-leté pacientky s akutní cholecystitidou, komplikovanou biliární pankreatitidou. V této části bakalářské práce sledujeme konkrétní případ pacienta po dobu hospitalizace v nemocnici. Pro komplexní posouzení byl použit koncepční model Hendersové. Analýzou získaných informací jsme zjistili, jaké jsou u pacienta aktuální nebo potenciální ošetřovatelské problémy. Praktickým návrhem je zvýšení znalostí obyvatelstva o možném způsobů prevence cholecystitidy, aktivní spolupráce s pacientem na zlepšení jeho zdravotního stavu během pobytu v nemocnici, poskytnutí dostatku srozumitelných informací, podpora zdravého životního stylu pacientů.

Abstract:

The Bachelor thesis which I have written during my Bachelor Studies in the study programme for education of practical nurses handles with the topic "Nursing casuistry at a patient with acute cholecystitis". The main aim of the thesis is to describe and bring the specification of nursering care of the patient with the above mentioned diagnosis closer to the health peronal and the unedicated public. The final thesis is divided into the theoretical and empirical parts. In the theoretical part there have been described anatomy and physiology of the gall bladder with the bile paths, types of illnesses, investigating methods, medical treatment and prevention of the above mentioned diseases. The empiric part presents the complex case interpretation of a 65-year-old patient with the acute cholecystide diseases which gets complicated by biliar pancreatitis. In this part of the bachelor thesis we follow the specific case of the patient during her hospitalisation. For complex analysis Henderson's concept model has been applicated. Analysing the data obtained during the treatment we were able to analyse the current and potential nursing issues connected to the examined case. The increase of the amount of public knowledge concerning the potential way of the prevention of the cholecystid disease, as well as the active cooperation with the patient on the improvement of his/her health during hospitalisation by providing enough intelligible information on his/her health along with the active support of the healthy lifestyle of the patients may represent a practical proposal for the improvement of the situation.
